Exchanging links can greatly benefit a webmaster. A simple exchange provides a two-way link between your blog and another. This is called a reciprocal and it adds more results then simply posting a one-way link.

I’ve been using two softwares that will accept links automatically from website owners who wish to become a link partner. The first is Linkman - Reciprocal Link Manager. Its a nice script that can tie directly into your pages. You can see an example here and right here.

I’ve came across a very good article, How to integrate link exchange managerLinkMan into your Wordpress blog. Thank God for Raymond.CC and his willingness to share. I used the article as a guide to add a partners page for Just another Wordpress Blog, MoreMoneyGirls.net.

For the few bloggers that are using Joomla’s platform, you may want to consider the JV-Link Exchanger. They say its the most powerful manual and automatic reciprocal link and banner exchange component. I’m currently using it on my homepage and I’m very happy with it. The best part of automated link exchanging is that its automatic. A user can submit their link and the url is posted right away. Automation, its so much better.
