If you’ve been getting 503 errors when trying to load your website, that means you have a hot page that many people send connection request too.

The bad news is, you now have to make some changes to your hosting account, website, and database to meet the new demands of people that are wanting to see your page.

This is the situation I faced with my new college niched website.

Oh no, was my reaction, but the folks at Godaddy encouraged me to rejoice because it is

good that I am getting so many website visitors.

Here were my options. I could have upgraded to a Virtual Dedicated Server. I may take this option in the future.

This may be necessary if you are hosting many websites like MsMoneyGirl.net, iFancyIt.com, TopCollegeList.net, and the site that your reading here MoreMoneyGirls.net all together on one shared hosting account with MsMoneyGirl.net bossing all the available connections.

So many domains, and I still have the space available if I wanted to host 100+ more! However, the spacing doesn’t matter when your getting 503’s from too many connection requests.

Here’s a second option and the option I chose for the time being, a second shared hosting account.

I’ve moved TopCollegList.net to a new shared hosting account and iFancyIt.com will follow in the days to come.
