Feedburner users: Don’t forget to Redirect
FeedBurner is a tool used by many bloggers to give their readers an easy way to receive content updates. Its perfect for website owners who want to promote and deliver their their information to the internet community.
Why use feedburner? I like feedburner because you get all kinds of stats about your website views and visitors. It provides more options for readers that may want to subscribe to what you have to offer.
Creating and adding your blog or website feed to feedburner is rather easy. However, many feedburner users are not aware that they can redirect 100% of traffic for their feeds to the FeedBurner feed they have created. The intent of this article is to show webmasters how to burn blog feeds to the fullest.
Here’s how to redirect your Blogspot feed. After logging in, click “Settings”. The next step is to choose “Site Feed”. You may then enter your post feed redirect url. Your url with be the one you created at Feedburner.com and will look similar to the following: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/MoneygirlsBloggingOnTheInternet
Here’s how you could redirect your Wordpress feed. We recommend using a FeedBurner Plugin. The plugin is actually used on this blog, MoneyGirls Blogging On The Internet. Use this link to get the wordpress feedburner plugin. After the install, all you have to do is activate it by entering your new feedburner url in your “Options” menu. If you have any subcribers prior to the redirect, they will be automatically converted.
